Captain:  The team captain is selected by the players and coaches

Sam Alfieri Award:  Given in honor of Mr. Samuel Alfieri to a member of the hockey community that has demonstrated loyalty and support of the West Genesee High School hockey program

Coach Fitzgerald Award:  Given in honor of Dr. Royden Fitzgerald to the player who has demonstrated excellence on the ice, loyalty to the program, and commitment to the community

Don Shouldice Award:  Given in honor of Mr. Donald Shouldice to the team’s Most Dedicated Player

Leo Burns Award:  Given in honor of Mr. Leo Burns to the player who has demonstrated passion, integrity, and commitment to team success (7th Man Award)

Most Valuable Player:  Awarded to the team’s most valuable player

Most Improved Player:  Awarded to the team’s most improved player

Rookie of the Year:  Awarded to the team’s most outstanding rookie

Scholar-Athlete Award:  Awarded to the player with the highest GPA during the season

Hard Hat Award:  Awarded to the player that demonstrates grit, toughness, and a blue-collar work ethic

Coaches Award:  Awarded to the player that is a good teammate, accepts his role and contributes to the overall success of the program

Player of the Year Award:  Selected by the NYS Coaches Association, League Coaches, and Sportswriters
